We depart from the city of Córdoba along the picturesque Provincial Route 5, crossing the mountain landscapes on our way to Alta Gracia. Along the way, we pass by the Miryam Stefford monument, an icon steeped in history and symbolism. Upon arriving in this charming city, we immerse ourselves in its valuable cultural and religious legacy. We visit the Tajamar, an ancient artificial lake built by the Jesuits that still preserves its tranquil atmosphere; we visit the Jesuit Estancia of Alta Gracia, now the Historical Museum of the House of Viceroy Liniers, declared a World Heritage Site for its architectural and historical value.
We continue to the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, of great spiritual significance to the inhabitants of the region, and then visit the house where Ernesto "Che" Guevara spent his childhood, now transformed into a museum that explores his life and thought. We also visit the museum dedicated to the famous composer Manuel de Falla, who found his creative refuge in Alta Gracia. We conclude our tour at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, a place of faith and contemplation that moves with its serenity.
